Resilience, Rights, and the Climate Crisis: How PAI Builds an Enabling Environment for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in a Warming World

PAI’s approach to climate and SRHR places SRHR at the center of climate resilience. By integrating policy advocacy, health system accountability, and community action, we protect and strengthen SRHR in a rapidly changing climate. Each component is intentionally designed to reinforce the others.

Through partnerships with grassroots organizations, youth networks, and policymakers, PAI’s links SRHR to national and global climate strategies, improves access to care in climate-affected communities, and secures policy protections for those most at risk. Together, we are advancing policies that integrate SRHR into climate adaptation plans, protecting supply chains from climate shocks, and creating new entry points for youth and community advocates to influence climate and health agendas.

The result is stronger health systems, more resilient communities, and a global movement that recognizes SRHR as an essential pillar of climate justice.
