Jonathan Rucks

Senior Director of Policy and Advocacy

Jonathan is responsible for the development and management of advocacy strategies to inform and influence public policy at the federal level in the United States, at the global level, and in developing countries to increase political and financial support for sexual and reproductive health and rights. Jonathan has more 15 years of experience in sexual and reproductive health and international development. Prior to joining PAI, Jonathan worked for Pathfinder International, a major U.S. government implementing partner, and prior to that, he spent eight years working in the House of Representatives for both Representative Jan Schakowsky and Representative Jim Oberstar. Jonathan earned a master’s degree in Strategic Security Studies from the College of International Security Affairs at National Defense University in Washington, D.C. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science and English from St. John’s University, Collegeville, MN.
