Peace Corps volunteers take risks every day to serve our country. But no volunteer who is sexually assaulted or faces a life endangering pregnancy should be denied coverage for a medical procedure that is safe and legal in America.

Peace Corps volunteers are now one of the only groups of women receiving their health care services through the federal government  who are denied coverage for abortion services in the cases of rape, incest, or life endangerment.  The Peace Corps Equity Act of 2013 seeks to remedy this injustice and give volunteers the same rights to health care as other federal employees.
