Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) can play a key role in ensuring accountability for meeting commitments made by governments, donors, UN agencies and other policymakers.
With this assumption in mind, PAI convened a discussion alongside the EuroNGOs Annual Conference in October to make sure that CSOs working on sexual and reproductive health and rights share our collective knowledge, and steer the next Global Framework towards the most positive outcome for SRHR. Attendees included leaders on financing and reproductive health from across civil society and the foundation world.
Participants highlighted global and country level accountability mechanisms and brainstormed good practices to take into discussions into the next development framework. For example, participants cited the Global Fund’s Country Coordinating Mechanisms as good examples of country-level mechanisms because of their multi-stakeholder engagement. PAI will work with partners to build on this discussion in the coming months. To request the full meeting report, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
